about

written january 9, 2009. this just popped out while i was sitting in the corner of an apartment, which due to its size should have been classified as a closet, in san francisco, ca. i don't know what it is really about, but i like it. during the recording process, the ever-talented emily peal stepped just in the nick of time and saved this song from ending up the pile of garbage i was about to turn it into.

lyrics

I thought about going to the farthest north to float away on the ice. When the sun peeks out and warms up the ground, it'll crack. I put on my shoes, and walked out the door, but forgot my coat on the bed. If I had been a polar bear then, I could've just kept walking.

I thought about going to the farthest north to swim away in the sea. When the sun peeks out and warms up the ground, it'll melt. The ice is clean and the ice is white on the water. If I had been a polar bear then, I could've just kept walking.
