written january 8, 2009. this was the first of about 30 songs i wrote in the course of a week in san francisco, ca. obviously, its about being dead, but in a more light-hearted manner than i usually approach the subject. it must have been all the fog making me feel floaty.
lyrics
If I ever get to heaven I will fly back down and rearrange the houses in our town. No one will ever stop me. The view is like the mountains, but a little bit better, and you won't need to bring your sweater, unless you want it.
If I ever get to heaven I will build my house, and you can come over when you're in town. No one will ever stop you. The view is like the mountains, but a little bit higher, and there's no need for fire, unless you want it.
You might think its silly. I might think so too, but I swear I'll get to heaven if its the last thing I do.
